In addition to a great education, CAWNY also offers our students fun!
International Days, Grub Days, Badminton and Band and Music Lessons are just a few of the opportunities for Elementary students!
Everyone needs a break from their day-to-day schoolwork every now and then. The Elementary engages in many seasonal activities that instruct while allowing children to have fun at the same time.
Every year, on September 11th (9-11), all of our students visit local First Responders to thank them for their service.
Operation Christmas Child
Elementary students get an opportunity to show their school spirit on a special day in October!
Students celebrate the birth of our Savior with a special day out!
Elementary students entertain family and students on a special night in December. They will sing of our favorite Christmas hymns during a play performed by the High School.
Later in the month, they will visit Bishop Gibbons Retirement Home and perform for the residents there! What a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas!
National School Choice Week
The students go home with a free gift that week as the school expresses its support for National School Choice for every child.
Not a real one...but a fun one all the same! Students get a day off from normal school work and have a day full of fun crafts and activities. They even get to wear their pjs!
K-1 Celebrates 100th Day
The kindergarten class celebrates the 100th day of school with 100 item crafts and other fun activities.
Elementary students, together as a group in each grade, prepare at least one project to be auctioned off at the school's annual banquet. These projects are the highlight of the evening!
Elementary students are given the opportunity to particpate in a wide variety of after-school activities for a nominal fee, as the High School Prom Committee begins to fundraise for their upcoming Prom.
Toward the end of the year, Elementary Days encompass a full week of dress down (with a different theme for each day) and fun activities, just for Elementary students!
