In addition to a great education, CAWNY also offers our students fun!
Our Elementary students can participate in our monthly Grub Days. Our School Snack store is available daily to our Elementary School students with a variety of snacks and drinks.
The following are some possible activities for our elemenatry students to participate each year.
Seasonal Activities
Everyone needs a break from their day-to-day schoolwork every now and then. The Elementary engages in many seasonal activities that instruct while allowing children to have fun at the same time.
- September 11th
Every year, on September 11th (9-11), all of our students visit local First Responders to thank them for their service. - Operation Christmas Child (in October)
- Spirit Day - Elementary students get an opportunity to show their school spirit on a special day in October!
- Christmas Party! - Students celebrate the birth of our Savior with a special day!
- Winter/Spring Music Performance
- National School Choice Week-The students support the school as it expresses its support for National School Choice for every child.
- "Snow Day"
Not a real one...but a fun one all the same! Students get a day off from normal school work and have a day full of fun crafts and activities. They even get to wear their pjs! - K-1 Celebrates 100th Day
The kindergarten class celebrates the 100th day of school with 100 item crafts and other fun activities. - Elementary Projects
Elementary students, together as a group in each grade, prepare at least one project to be auctioned off at the school's annual banquet. These projects are the highlight of the evening! - After-School Activities
Elementary students are given the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of after-school activities for a nominal fee, as the High School Prom Committee begins to fundraise for their upcoming Prom. - Elementary Days!
Toward the end of the year, Elementary Days encompass a full week of dress down (with a different theme for each day) and fun activities, just for Elementary students! - Sport Clinics are often offered in the Spring
- K-5th can participate in Cross-Country in the Spring.
