What other Parents are saying:

"This school is amazing!  It has helped many single parents - of which I am one - by giving hope for their child's future and encouragement for the "now" of their school days.  Being a single, concerned and loving parent is not an easy place in life.  Very rare are the supportive individuals and institutions that can make a difference in the tension you experience in this role and as a child.  Christian Academy of WNY, Principal Pat Poeller and staff there are an exception to the norm!  It was with loving effort that they educated my son (and indirectly, myself - to relax and be the best parent for him).  My son (now 23 years old) and I lived in NY State during the years that brought change and growth to both of us - 7 years.  It was during this time I enrolled him in Christian Academy of WNY.  He challenged boundaries naturally, but found them to be solid both at home and at the school.  Together, we formed a unified front that gave him stability and security as he explored the person he was becoming.  Rules and understanding were a safety net provided to him by this school.  They also extended an understanding arm of support to me as his parent that carried me through the sometimes turbulent and trying times as a mom.  Today, my son is a man in the Air Force military intelligence and serves on loan to the special ops of the Army Rangers when in Iraq.  He is exemplary as a man, a husband and new father.  His character has been shaped by the loving discipline and diligence of a school and staff who truly taught him to respect himself and others and to value education and himself, scholastically, as well as the lessons life teaches along the way.  I am grateful for their invaluable input into his life and know they are responsible in large part for the person he has become.
